The Poltimore Arms is a traditional, 13th Century pub with a quaint bar serving real ales on tap. Landlords Alan and Pauline extend a warm welcome to all, whatever the season and we are ideally located for walkers discovering the beauty of Exmoor.
We have a well deserved reputation for our delicious, home cooked food using locally sourced produce and are open for lunches, evening meals and our popular Sunday roasts, with vegetarian options. Amazingly the Poltimore Arns has no mains electricity! Just an old faithful generator, which means sometimes dining by candle light, this may set the ambience for more than the retailed spirits!
Dogs may join their owners in the bar area, plus there is a large beer garden where you can enjoy the sunshine during the Summer months and real log fires for those Winter months, which gives a cosy atmosphere day or night.
